By focusing on the convergence of networking and security, StillSecure provides the foundation for secure, intelligent, highly automated networks that are easy to manage and protect. StillSecure believes security is no longer an add-on—the network must have the inherent capability to protect itself. Our products merge security with the network infrastructure, embedding protection from a full range of network threats into the IT infrastructure and daily operations.

StillSecure's vision of combining networking and security will create next generation policy-driven networks, where automated, integrated security systems combine with an organization's security policies to control network access, devices, users, and traffic (see figure at left). When policies are violated, the network takes action on offending systems, traffic, or users in real time through a variety of techniques. In the policy-driven network, integrated network and security systems dynamically respond to threats and enable an efficient, available network.

Background

StillSecure was founded in 2000 by an all-star management team dedicated to changing the network infrastructure and security landscape. The team understood the power of embedding security within the network infrastructure, thereby enabling an organization's security policies to drive how threats are managed and mitigated. The team recognized the market was saturated with hard-to-use, complex point solutions that were expensive to implement and operate. They saw an opportunity to deliver an integratable suite of network infrastructure and security solutions that would dramatically improve protection and reduce operating cost.

This approach has been validated by explosive revenue growth, an expanding line of integrated, award-winning products, and recognition as an industry leader. In 2005, StillSecure was ranked number 12 on Deloitte's Technology Fast 500 Rising Star list.
